Germany’s Nordex SE (ETR:NDX1) on Thursday announced an order to supply its wind turbines for the 264-MW Pagegiai wind project in Lithuania, a day after its promoter secured financing for the scheme.

Pagegiai is led by Renerga, the wind energy business of Lithuanian fertiliser producer Achema and the beneficiary of the project. Achema will buy electricity from the wind farm to produce green hydrogen for its ammonia and fertiliser plants.

Nordex will supply 40 units of its Delta4000 series N163/6.X turbines for the project. The machines will be installed on tubular steel towers with hub heights ranging between 113 metres and 118 metres.

Infrastructure works on site in Pagegiai municipality will begin in June 2024. Turbine delivery and installation is scheduled to commence in the spring of 2025, with completion expected in 2026.

The provision of premium service for the wind farm is included in Renerga’s contract, the turbine maker said.
