OX2 taps CJR Renewables to build 99.2-MW wind farm in Romania
Sep 18, 2024 15:06 CESTSep 12, 2011 - German wind turbine maker Nordex (ETR:NDX1) announced today it had received its first two orders in Romania for wind turbines with a total capacity of 20 MW.
The company also signed long-term service agreements with the two clients, each of whom will buy four N100/2500 turbines for an undisclosed price.
Wind turbines with total output of more than 3,000 MW are to be installed in Romania by the end of 2015, Nordex said. Therefore, the company aims to secure a big share on the Romanian market and plans to open a branch there in the coming months.
Moreover, Nordex forecast demand for wind turbines in Poland and Bulgaria to grow too. Its Polish unit will install 50 MW of wind power by the end of 2011 and expects to deliver more than 100 MW annually in the future.
