German wind turbine manufacturer Nordex SE (ETR:NDX1) today said it has received an order to provide 7-MW turbines for a 42-MW wind project in Lithuania from regional renewables developer E energija group.

Under the contract signed at the end of June, Nordex will supply and install six N163/6.X wind turbines at the project located near the city of Kaunas, with delivery and commissioning scheduled for the second half of 2025. It will also maintain the turbines over 35 years under a Premium-Plus service contract.

The turbines will be operated by the customer with a nominal output of 7 MW.

E energija group CEO Gediminas Uloza said this is the first of three projects that the company plans to start building in central Lithuania this year.

“Since the beginning of our cooperation in early 2023 E energija group has chosen to order 50 units of the N163/6.X turbines with a total capacity of 346 MW from Nordex,” remarked Nordex Group CSO Patxi Landa. The manufacturer has so far sold more than 950 MW of turbines in Lithuania.
