Nordex sells French wind farm to Munich municipal utility

Nov 26, 2012 - German wind turbine maker Nordex SE (ETR:NDX1) said today it had sold the Filieres wind farm, located in northeastern France, to the Munich municipal utility Stadtwerke Muenchen GmbH (SWM) for an undisclosed amount.

The Filieres wind park was developed by the French subsidiary of the German company and has a combined annual yield of 20.7 GWh. It consists of four N90/2500 turbines. Each of these turbines has a capacity of 2.5 MW, according to Nordex' website.

The German municipal utility bought the farm as part of its target to cover Munich’s entire power demand using renewable energy sources by 2025.
