German wind turbine maker Nordex SE (ETR:NDX1) on Wednesday announced the receipt of two orders for a total of 57 MW of wind turbines from unnamed customers in France.

The manufacturer will supply four N149/5.X turbines for a 22.8-MW wind farm in Centre-Val-de-Loire in the western central part of France. These machines will be installed on 105-metre (344.5-ft) tubular steel towers.

Nordex will also deliver six N163/5.X turbines for a 34.4-MW wind farm in Hauts de France in the northern part of the country. The German firm will install these turbines on 118-metre tubular steel towers. It said this is its second order in France for turbines with a rotor diameter of 163 metres, which are the largest wind turbine rotors in the country to date.

Once the turbines at the two wind farms are commissioned in the autumn of 2025, the manufacturer will provide maintenance over 20 years.

Nordex, which has factories in Germany, Spain, Brazil, India, the US and Mexico, says it has installed over 52 GW of wind capacity in its history. The company recently lifted the lower end of its full-year EBITDA guidance after booking a sales increase and contracted loss in the first half of 2024.
