German wind turbine maker Nordex SE (ETR:NDX1) said on Tuesday that its Delta4000 platform turbines have been chosen for a 336-MW cluster of wind projects in South Africa.

The deal was placed by an unnamed party and calls for Nordex to supply and install 57 units of its N163/5.X machines for three projects. Each of these wind parks will be installed in the Eastern Cape Province of the country, known for its ample wind conditions, and will have a capacity of 112.1 MW.

Nordex will make the concrete towers of the turbines locally and will start installing the hardware in the second half of this year. The turbine generators are expected to start feeding electricity into the grid in the second half of 2025.

Once the wind farm is commissioned, the German turbine maker will take care of its operations and maintenance.

The name of the wind project cluster has been kept under wraps upon the customer’s request.
