German wind turbines maker Nordex SE (ETR:NDX1) has received orders to supply eight turbines for a 56-MW expansion of a wind farm in Turkey and 12 turbines with a total capacity of 43 MW for a project in Germany.

The company was awarded a contract by Turkish developer Vres Enerji to deliver eight N163/6.X machines for the planned extension of the Kartal wind farm in the northwestern part of Turkey. Installation is scheduled for the middle of 2024. Under the deal, Nordex will service the turbines for a period of ten years.

In Germany, Nordex will supply eight turbines of the type N117/3600 and four N131/3600 machines to be installed at the Erftstadt-Friesheim wind farm, near the town of Erftstadt in North Rhine-Westphalia. The order was placed by local developer REA and includes a maintenance and servicing period of 20 years.

Nordex said that it has secured a total of 101 MW in orders from Turkey in the second quarter of 2023 as well as contracts for a total capacity of 200 MW in Germany.
