German wind turbine maker Nordex SE (ETR:NDX1) has received an order to supply and install nine N133/4800 turbines for a 43-MW Irish wind farm of Danish clean energy group Ørsted A/S (CPH:ORSTED).

The turbines will be used for the Farranrory wind farm in south-central Ireland, which is scheduled to become operational in 2026, Nordex said on Thursday. The facility is expected to supply 25,000 households with renewable energy.

Nordex will start to deliver and install the turbines in the summer of 2025. In addition, the German company has agreed to service the turbines for a period of 20 years.

The wind power project was successful in the Irish Government’s Renewable Electricity Support Scheme 3 (RESS 3) auction in September 2023. The average strike price was EUR 100.47 (USD 110.95) per MWh.
