Germany’s Nordex (ETR:NDX1) will be shipping seven wind turbines of two different models to each of Luxembourg and Italy under new orders, it said today.

Derenbach-based project developer PW34 Sarl has ordered seven N131/3300 units for the 23-MW Wincrange wind farm in the north of Luxembourg and has also awarded a 20-year service contract to Nordex.

The German manufacturer noted that work on laying the cables for this project has already begun and foundation construction is expected to start next month. Turbine installation should be initiated at the end of the year so that the wind park could be connected to the grid in February 2020.

At the same time, in Italy, Nordex has won an order for seven N149/4.0-4.5 turbines along with a two-year premium service agreement. It did not give details about the customer or the project.
