German renewables developer PNE recruits Heiko Wuttke as new CEO
Sep 20, 2024 14:12 CEST(ADPnews) - May 25, 2011 - German shipbuilder Nordic Yards today launched the construction of the HelWin offshore power converter platform ordered by Siemens Energy, part of Siemens AG (ETR:SIE).
The platform, which be part of the HelWin1 wind park project, will be converting and transferring up to 576 MW of clean energy from the North Sea East and Meerwind offshore wind farms to the mainland, the company said.
This is the second order for the construction of an offshore power converter platform that Nordic Yards has received from Siemens Energy. Construction work of the BorWin Beta platform was initiated on May 2, 2011.
