Solar developer OneEnergy Renewables announced on Tuesday that it will build two utility-scale solar farms with a combined capacity of about 165 MW in Columbia County, Wisconsin.

The company has signed an asset purchase agreement with We Energies, Wisconsin Public Service Corporation (WPS) and Madison Gas and Electric Company (MGE). OneEnergy will develop and construct the projects with handover at commercial operations, a press statement says.

The two facilities are dubbed Good Oak, which will have a capacity of 98 MW, and Gristmill of 67 MW. They will be built using union labour and workers from across the state.

The plants are expected to be constructed in 2026 and 2027.

OneEnergy is a public benefit corporation. It develops solar projects across the US in community solar, distributed generation and large utility-scale project segments.
