Renewables rise and Russian gas declines, says EC report
Sep 12, 2024 11:11 CESTRussian logistics group Onego and Japanese wind project developer Windpal have joined hands in a project seeking to assess the prospects for the construction of wind farms in the Russian part of the Far East.
The two companies have signed a memorandum of cooperation, agreeing to share experience and technologies in the wind power sector, the Russian Association of Wind Power Industry (RAWI) said on Thursday. The pact also calls for the conduct of a joint comprehensive analysis of the opportunities for wind development in Russia’s coastal areas and on the shelf of the Far East.
Another objective of the partnership will be to consider the use of Russian shipbuilding facilities in the Far East for building a specialised marine maintenance fleet, and the creation of a joint centre to train technical specialists and engineers.
