Opel Technologies expands global sales partnership with IG Solar

Dec 6, 2011- Canadian Opel Technologies Inc (CVE:OPL) yesterday said it had agreed with Spanish IG Solar SL to sell Opel's high concentrating photovoltaic (HCPV) solar panels and solar trackers in additional markets.

The agreement adds the Mediterranean countries and South America to the areas where IG Solar, a renewables-focused consulting and services firm, already represents the Canadian company.

Opel chief executive Leon Pierhal said that IG Solar was already involved in HCPV and solar tracking developments in Italy, Spain, Greece, Mexico, Chile, Peru and Argentina. Pierhal added that Europe had been the leader in installing HCPV, but South America was showing increasing interest in the technology.
