Opus Energy gets special tariffs for power from Endurance turbines

Sep 13, 2013 - UK gas and electricity supplier Opus Energy Ltd is to buy at preferential rates the unused electricity produced from British wind parks using turbines of Canadian Endurance Wind Power.

The partners said in a joint statement on Thursday that they had signed a contract, the terms of which will come into force immediately for both new and existing clients of the Canadian wind turbines maker.

"This partnership cements Endurance’s position as the UK’s leading supplier of small scale turbines to British farmers by guaranteeing them additional income every year, mitigating the uncertainty of annual crop revenue and helping the rural economy”, said Endurance Wind’s UK Managing Director Dave Rankin.

Endurance Wind has installed almost 500 of its turbines in England .
