Oracle’s project, located in the province of Sindh, southern Pakistan, envisages a 400-MW green hydrogen production facility, the deployment of 700 MW of solar and 500 MW of wind power, and the conversion of the hydrogen into green ammonia. The company’s plan calls for the production of 55,000 tonnes of green hydrogen annually.
TUV SUD’s role in the scheme will be to review the project design and certify the green credentials of the production. For this purpose, it will conduct document validation and site audits. The certification is needed in order to meet the European Union's standards for green hydrogen and ammonia imported to Europe.
Oracle Energy is a JV between Oracle and Shaikh Ahmed Dalmook Al Maktoum of Dubai. Last month, the company engaged German engineering company Thyssenkrupp Uhde will lead the technical and commercial feasibility study for the project.
