French renewable energy producer Cap Vert Energie (CVE) is set to take possession of a 23-MW agrivoltaic project in its home country developed by Sweden’s OX2 AB (STO:OX2), the latter said today.

The parties have signed an agreement for the deal, which will mark OX2’s first project divestment in France. Financial details about the transaction were kept under wraps.

Located in the north-central department of Loiret in France’s Centre-Val de Loire region, the project calls for the installation of fixed tilt solar panels over a flock of sheep, enabling the site to be used both power generation and farming. The plant is expected to produce about 29 GWh of electricity annually, or enough to supply about 6,000 local homes.

CVE will take care of building works, planning to bring the PV arrays online in the first quarter of 2026.

OX2 will book the sale in its fourth-quarter financial report, the renewables developer said. Last month, the company offloaded a 115-MW wind project in its home country and 20-MW onshore wind farm project in southeastern Poland to a unit of state-run utility Enea.
