Finnish green energy services provider Enersense International Oyj (HEL:ESENSE) has secured a bigger role in P2X Solutions Oy’s 20-MW green hydrogen project in Finland, being assigned operation and maintenance services in addition to its project implementation involvement.

The companies have entered into a new partnership agreement to deepen their cooperation on the production plant, a press statement said on Friday.

Enersense, a minority shareholder of P2X, has so far been involved in construction works, having signed contracts for equipment and pipeline installation as well as steel structures supply.

“The construction of our Harjavalta plant has progressed well, with more than 700 consecutive days without lost-time accidents on the site. In cooperation with Enersense, we want to ensure that the commissioning and operation of the plant will also run safely and reliably,” P2X’ chief executive Herkko Plit noted.

P2X launched construction works on the project at the beginning of 2023. The facility, which already counts US flavours and fragrances maker IFF as an offtaker, is expected to be completed this year, according to an earlier statement.
