Jordan Green agrees land deal for solar-powered green ammonia hub
Sep 20, 2024 5:52 CESTUK-based developer PASH Global has agreed to set up a joint venture with Tswana Renewables to work on a 30-MWp pipeline of solar photovoltaic (PV) projects for private customers in Botswana.
The agreed partnership marks the largest distributed generation strategy in the country which boasts abundant solar resources, PASH said in a press release earlier this week.
Construction work on the first two projects at Travelodge and Ramotswe is already underway.
Further details about the projects were not provided. The financial terms of the joint business remained undisclosed.
“We look forward to working with Tswana and other stakeholders to drive the growth of the renewable energy sector in Botswana,” PASH Global’s chief executive Kofi Owusu Bempah said in the statement.
PASH is currently developing, financing, constructing, owning and operating a 20-MWp portfolio of distributed generation solar PV rooftop plants in Botswana and South Africa, according to its website.
