Iberdrola inaugurates 496-MW Saint-Brieuc wind farm offshore France
Sep 19, 2024 16:25 CESTPeru's energy watchdog Osinergmin secured 1,739 GWh a year from 13 wind, solar, hydroelectric and biomass projects in its renewable energy auction on Tuesday, documents on its website showed.
The plants will start commercial operation by the end of 2018.
The contracts include 738.6 GWh of wind energy from projects of Enel Green Power Peru (126 MW), GR Paino (18 MW) and GR Taruca (18 MW) at prices of around USD 37 (EUR 33.2) per MWh. Additionally, Enel Green Power Peru and Enersur will provide, respectively, 415 GWh and 108.4 GWh of solar energy a year for nearly USD 48 per MWh, while two 2-MW urban waste installations will each supply 14.5 GWh at a price of USD 77 per MWh.
In the competition for hydroelectric technology, Osinergmin awarded 448.2 GWh in annual supplies to six plants of up to 20 MW each.
The projects are located in the regions of Ancash, Cajamarca, Ica, Lima, Moquegua and San Martin, local media said.
The state originally sought 1,750 GWh of renewable energy a year, including 312 GWh of bioenergy.
