Polish renewables equipment wholesaler Menlo Electric said on Thursday that it expects to sell over 200 MW of JinkoSolar PV modules in 2022 after sealing an agreement with JinkoSolar Holding Co Ltd (NYSE:JKS) to become its official distributor.

Thanks to the arrangement, Menlo Electric will offer its customers N-type TOPCon modules from Jinko’s Tiger Neo series, the firm said.

The Chinese solar panel maker will deliver 70 MW of the planned total in the first quarter of 2022.

“We are convinced of the advantages of using TIGER NEO modules. With higher efficiency, higher bifacial factor, lower degradation, lower working temperatures and better low irradiance performance, JinkoSolar’s N-type TOPCon technology is touted to become the industry’s next- generation of mainstream technology after the mono PERC,” Marcin Jedrachowicz, Jinko’s sales manager for Eastern Europe, said in a statement.

The two companies have been working closely for about a year, with Menlo Electric offering Jinko modules to installers, distributors and investors in the Baltic countries and southern EU, among others, added Marta Walendzewicz, Menlo Electric's Board Member.

After gaining a strong position in Poland, JinkoSolar was looking for a partner to strengthen its presence in other countries in the region, which prompted it to expand its relationship with Menlo Electric, Jedrachowicz explained.

Menlo Electric is part of Polish solar PV projects developer R.Power Group.
