Poland's energy major Polenergia (WSE:PEP) said today it has signed a multiyear power purchase agreement (PPA) to supply electricity to domestic courier company InPost from its 121 MW Debsk wind farm.

The agreement is another step for InPost in its quest to use 100% zero-emission electricity, Polenergia said in a media statement. The contracted volume will allow the courier to power with renewable energy its nearly 24,000 Paczkomat parcel machines in Poland, its fleet of 1,300 electric cars, branch offices and sorting plants.

The Debsk facility, already in operation in the central Mazowieckie province, is Polenergia's biggest onshore wind project and one of the largest wind farms in Poland. The estimated annual production of the power plant is some 366 GWh, enough to meet the annual electricity demand of some 183,000 households.
