Statkraft connects 44.5-MW solar farm to grid in Spain
Sep 19, 2024 15:28 CESTSpanish pop singer Alejandro Sanz on Monday pledged he would use renewable energy and electric vehicles for his future concerts and called on governments, companies and individuals to make similar efforts to curb their emissions.
“I want to ensure that my polluting footprint is reduced to the maximum. That is why I am going to be implementing a study of the quantity of CO2 produced by my concerts," the crooner said in his speech at the opening of the High-Level Segment of the UN Climate Change Conference (COP25) in Madrid.
Sanz committed to doing his part to “ensure that [his] concerts have renewable energy as their basic principle, electric transport, non-polluting energy," adding that the only way to mitigate climate change is with specific actions.
