US speciality contracting services provider Primoris Services Corporation (NASDAQ:PRIM) has received awards for a couple of domestic renewable energy projects valued at more than USD 200 million (EUR 182.5m).

The company won the contracts in the first quarter of 2023 through its Energy Segment, a press release said on Wednesday.

One of the awards, which broadens the scope of Primoris’ pipeline, concerns a carbon capture utilisation and storage (CCUS) pipeline project located in the Midwest. It is expected to start in the second quarter of 2024.

The company announced further in the statement that the engineering, procurement and construction of a utility-scale solar power facility in the Southwest is set to begin in the third quarter, while completion is expected a year later.

Primoris offers critical infrastructure services to the utility, energy and renewables markets across the US and Canada. The company reported solar project awards worth an estimated USD 290 million in total in the fourth quarter of 2022.
