US speciality contracting services provider Primoris Services Corporation (NASDAQ:PRIM) has won several solar project awards worth an estimated USD 290 million (EUR 275m) in total, the company announced on Wednesday.

Primoris’ Energy/Renewables Segment has been contracted to handle the engineering, procurement and construction of an undisclosed number of utility-scale solar power plants in the Midwest. More specifically, it will take care of all civil, electrical and mechanical work on the projects.

Initial construction is to start this quarter and completion is expected in the second quarter of 2024.

“These awards align with our market strategy by expanding our presence in new geographies and diversifying our scope of work with smaller utility-scale solar projects,” commented Tom McCormick, president and CEO of Primoris.
