Statkraft connects 44.5-MW solar farm to grid in Spain
Sep 19, 2024 15:28 CESTSep 19, 2014 - Spanish power, renewable energy and telecommunications specialist Prodiel expects to close 2014 with sales of more than EUR 58.6 million (USD 75.5m), up 30% year-on-year, El Diario de Cordoba said yesterday.
The figure is almost three times higher than the EUR 19 million top line result achieved in 2012, just before the start of the firm's foreign expansion. Currently the engineering, development, construction and maintenance services company is present in Chile, which is its most important market, as well as in Peru, Colombia, Panama, Morrocco and England. It plans to enter Saudi Arabia, Brazil and Mexico in the next nine months.
Prodiel has at present an installed capacity of 315 MW, of which the bulk is in Spain -- 221.5 MW. Furthermore it is also responsible for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of another 184 MW, 80% of which abroad.
Among Prodiel's newest projects is the 60-MW Lalackama photovoltaic (PV) project in Chile. It is expected to be ready at the end of this month.
