Global wind turbine order intake hits record 91.2 GW in H1
Sep 17, 2024 10:03 CEST(ADPnews) - Jun 30, 2011 - German photovoltaic (PV) technology producer Q-Cells (ETR:QCE) said on Wednesday it has launched its Q.Smart thin-film modules on the North American market.
The copper-indium-gallium-selenide (CIGS) modules have aperture efficiencies of up to 14.7%. They have been in serial production since 2009 and Q-Cells claims they are the most efficient CIGS thin-film modules in the world. The Q.Smart modules are suitable for both commercial and residential installations.
The modules are produced at Q-Cells' factory in Thalheim, Saxony-Anhalt. The Q.Smart production capacity stood at 135 MWp at the end of 2010.
Q-Cells first entered the North American market a year ago.
