Qair Polska said on Tuesday it has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) to supply 2 TWh of renewable energy for 12 years to a big international company operating in Poland.

The unit of French-based renewable power producer Qair pointed out that it is one of the largest corporate PPAs in Poland. The contract with physical acceptance provides for power supply from wind parks that went into operation in 2022 and a solar plant.

The unnamed customer is an international company with production plants in Poland, employing some 10,000 people. The CEO of Qair Polska, Krzysztof Wojtysiak, stressed that the company's target group are big companies with products and services used by millions of people in Poland. This way it can help businesses in their pursuit of energy independence and price stability.

Qair Polska plans to increase its energy sales under corporate PPAs, Wojtysiak noted, adding that the company is negotiating contracts with leading brands, which will grow its portfolio to 5 TWh.

Qair, present in Poland since 2015, operates seven wind farms of 205 MW and has commissioned 53 MW of solar facilities. Currently, it is developing 130 MW of wind and solar projects in the country, the company said on its website.
