KKR fund increases tender offer price for Greenvolt
Sep 19, 2024 15:32 CESTFeb 20, 2014 - Portuguese wine producer Quinta da Alorna will launch a photovoltaic (PV) power plant to produce 138.33 MWh a year, an official source from the company said.
The plant, installed by Portuguese solar power firm Ikaros-Hemera, intends to take advantage of a new law in Portugal which allows the generaion of energy for own consumption. The new regulation could also be important for farmers in the country.
Quinta da Alorna expects to obtain in five years return on investment from the facility, which will cover an area of almost 1,500 sq m (16,150 sq ft).
