Real estate group JLL has sealed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Irish renewable power provider Pinergy to secure green electricity for its property portfolio.

The deal covers the supply of 22 GWh of power and will allow JLL to meet its entire energy demand in Ireland with renewables, Pinergy said on Tuesday. The latter will source the contracted electricity volumes from three wind farms across its home country.

Specific details about the contract and its duration were not disclosed.

The PPA is Pinergy’s largest renewables power offtake agreement to date. It was signed under the company’s Guarantee of Origin offering, which enables companies to buy green power from Irish wind and solar farms connected to the national grid. Since the start of the offering, Pinergy has secured PPAs for the annual delivery of over 150 GWh of wind power and expects the figure “to grow substantially in the coming years.”
