IEA urges proactive measures to integrate renewables
Sep 18, 2024 11:17 CEST(ADPnews) - May 4, 2011 - Renewable Solutions and PNE Wind USA, a subsidiary of German wind power developer PNE Wind AG (ETR:PNE3), will jointly invest USD 100 million (EUR 67m) on a 50 MW wind power project in Belle Fourche, South Dakota.
The 27-turbine wind farm will be built by the joint venture (JV), established by the companies in 2009.
According to plans, the construction works on a 9,000-acre (3,642-hectare) parcel of leased land will kick off in 2012. When completed, the facility will be capable of generating green power to 50,000 homes.
The Belle Fourche wind power project is the first one to be developed by the joint venture partners. In addition, the tie-up will roll out over 300 MW of wind farm projects in Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota.
