ArcelorMittal buys majority stake in Brazilian solar holding
Sep 19, 2024 9:29 CESTThe total renewables share in the energy mix of Brazil rose to 49.1% in 2023, according to data from the annual National Energy Balance report.
According to the document, the increase is attributed to the development of wind, solar and biomass, the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) announced last week.
Hydropower remained stable throughout the year, accounting for 12% of the renewable generation.
