Renewables take 11.2% share in Czech electricity consumption for 2012 - report

May 21, 2013 - According to data from Czech Republic’s Energy Regulatory Office (ERU), electricity from renewable sources contributed some 11.2% of the country’s gross power consumption in 2012, CIA news agency reported.

Data has showed that among the renewable sources, biogas plants held the largest share.

Total electricity consumption stood at 70,453 GWh, while production -- 87,573 GWh, which is largely unchanged from 2011.
