NTPC’s green energy arm eyes USD 1.2bn from Indian IPO

Mexico, which will soon hold a third auction for clean power, and Ethiopia rank fourth and fifth, respectively.
The attractiveness index of the top 20 markets is based on an analysis of various factors, including wind resource, the local supply chain, GDP and population growth, among others. The Emerging Markets report, available here, has been prepared in association with Marathon Capital.
China is the leader in wind power globally with 168.7 GW installed at the end of 2016, according to the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC). India had 28.7 GW at the time, which is impressive too.
