Romania's CIS Group to build 23-MW solar park at home
Sep 19, 2024 9:59 CESTBUCHAREST (Romania), October 6 (SeeNews) – Romania maintained its 34th spot in a ranking of the most attractive countries for renewable energy investments, global financial consultancy Ernst & Young (EY) said on Tuesday.
Romania had a score of 44.8 points, compared to 75 points scored by the US, which overtook China as the world's most attractive country for renewable energy investments, the consultancy said in the 45th edition of the Renewable Energy Country Attractiveness Index (RECAI) report.
Romania performed best on the solar, biomass and marine segments, the report showed.
The Ernst & Young Country Attractiveness Indices analyses on a quarterly basis the top 40 most investment-attractive countries focuses on the extent to which markets are prioritizing renewables as a necessary and desirable part of the energy mix, putting an emphasis on the economic and political stability of the particular markets.
