Romanian town to build 46.5 mln lei (10.2 mln euro) solar plant - econ min

The Romanian southern town of Mizil will build a photovoltaic power plant worth 46.5 million lei ($12.4 million/10.2 million euro), which will be partially financed with an EU grant, the economy ministry said on Monday.

The town council will receive a grant worth 34.9 million lei for the project under the EU's priority axis 4 - Increasing energy efficiency and security of supply, in the context of combating climate change, the ministry said in a statement.

The project should be implemented in 23 months.
