Romania's CIS Group to build 23-MW solar park at home
Sep 19, 2024 9:59 CESTBUCHAREST (Romania), May 11 (SeeNews) – Romanian group Agrofam plans to develop a solar power project worth more than 50 million euro ($65 million) in the country's southeast, local media reported.
The project will be developed on a 50-hectare land plot in the town of Fetesti, news agency Mediafax quoted Agrofam owner Stefan Poienaru as saying.
Construction works will start next spring, Poienaru said.
He added that Agrofam is in advanced talks with an Austrian company regarding a partnership for the project.
The group also plans to develop a 4.0 million euro sheep farm, possibly in partnership with an investment fund from Qatar, Poienaru said.
Agrofam operates in animal breeding, farming and grain trading, Mediafax (www.mediafax.ro) said. It employs 350.
