Romania's Bioromoil Sees 2012 Sales Up, To Open 20 Filling Stations, Biodiesel Factory - Media

Romanian biodiesel trader Bioromoil sees its turnover rising 30% to $230 million (176.1 million euro) this year, local media reported on Friday.

The upside will come from the higher mandatory percentage for the biofuel component that needs to be mixed with ordinary fuel as well as from the expected higher sales at the company’s AutoMat network of filling stations, daily Ziarul Financiar (www.zf.ro) quoted the head of Bioromoil’s retail division, Laurentiu Argesanu, as saying.

Bioromoil plans to add 20 new filling stations this year to its AutoMat network of 15 outlets and to raise their number to 100 by 2014, Ziarul Financiar said.

The daily said that Bioromoil also plans to put into operation a biodiesel factory in the southeastern town of Braila in the last quarter of this year.

Abroad, the company intends to open 15 fuel distribution stations in Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Ukraine over the next two years, the daily said.
