Romania's Carpatica bank lends Tinmar-Ind 7.0 mln euro for PV plant

BUCHAREST (Romania), March 19 (SeeNews) – Romania's Banca Comerciala Carpatica [BSE:BCC] said it has lent local electricity trader and producer Tinmar-Ind 7.0 million euro ($9.7 million) for the development of a photovoltaic (PV) plant.

The 8.5 megawatt peak (MWp) solar plant covers an area of 18 hectares in the southern county of Giurgiu and is part of a 18.5 MWp PV park brought on line in June 2013, Carpatica said in a statement on Tuesday.

The solar plant was developed by Martin Solar Energy, which is part of the Tinmar-Ind group.

Tinmar-Ind, established in 2001, is controlled by Romanian businessman Augustin Oancea. It posted a turnover of 350 million euro in 2013. In the last two years, the company has developed six solar parks with a total installed power of 50 MWp.
