Romania's Greenprav starts building cogeneration plant - Busteni town

BUCHAREST (Romania), March 31 (SeeNews) – Romanian power producer Greenprav started the construction of a wood biomass-fueled cogeneration plant in the central town of Busteni, a project worth around 35 million euro ($48.3 million), Busteni city hall said.

Greenprav will invest 18 million euro in the project while the remaining 17 million euro represent non-reimbursable funds, Busteni city hall said in a statement on Friday.

The plant will generate green thermal and electrical energy for the industrial and commercial sectors and for public consumers.

Construction works are expected to be completed in July 2015. The project will create around 140 jobs.
