Romanian concrete products manufacturer Prebet [BSE:PREB] said it had signed a contract with Electrica Furnizare for the acquisition and development of a 0.4MW photovoltaic power plant.

The power plant is expected to become operational starting in the second half of September and is part of Prebet’s strategy of becoming energy independent, the company said on Monday in a statement filed with the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BVB.

The parties have not disclosed the value of the contract.
