The power purchase agreements (PPAs) announced by major renewable energy actors in the last two weeks will green the electricity supply of breweries, steel makers, a fruit juice producer, a data centre and other businesses in different geographies. The majority of deals in this round-up come from Spain and Latin America. Enjoy!

-- Canadian Solar inks PPA for 103-MWp project in Mexico

Canadian Solar Inc (NASDAQ:CSIQ) has sealed a PPA for a 103-MWp solar power project in Mexico's Ojocaliente municipality, Zacatecas state. The buyer is Techgen SA de CV, which owns and operates a combined cycle power plant, producing electricity for the manufacturing plants in Mexico of steel products firm Ternium and steel tube maker Tenaris. Spanish utility Endesa SA (BME:ELE) has signed a contract to supply more than 80 GWh per year of renewable energy to fashion retail giant Tendam. Read more..

Power producer Empresa Generadora de Electricidad Haina SA, or EGE Haina, will supply solar power from a 120-MWp plant to Dominican ferronickel mining company Falconbridge Dominicana, also known as Falcondo. Read more..

French renewables company Voltalia SA (EPA:VLTSA) has inked a 20-year solar power sale contract with Brazilian thermoplastic resin producer Braskem (BVMF:BRKM5) concerning a portion of the output of two solar parks totalling 270 MW. Read more..
