World set to install 593 GW of new solar in 2024 - Ember
Sep 19, 2024 13:28 CESTApr 29, 2013 - RWE Effizienz GmbH, a unit of German energy group RWE AG (ETR:RWE), has signed a contract with local lithium battery manufacturer Prosol for the supply of solar storage systems, IWR reported today.
The storage systems will be used for RWE Storage compact, a new product which is expected to optimise the company's portfolio in the HomePower solar segment.
According to RWE, the new RWE Storage compact system is eligible for financing under the government's subsidy programme for private solar power storage, which will come into force on May 1. RWE expects subsidies of up to EUR 14,385 (USD 18,819). The new system will be also available on the market as of May 1.
