Iberdrola inaugurates 496-MW Saint-Brieuc wind farm offshore France
Sep 19, 2024 16:25 CESTA solar park of 17 MW will be constructed in Iran’s Markazi Province under a collaboration between a local firm and a South Korean entity, the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reports.
Тhe photovoltaic (PV) facility will be sited in Iran’s northernmost county of Zarandieh, covering an area of 28 ha (69.2 acres) near the capital Tehran and Imam Khomeini International Airport. Construction is planned to be carried out within the next 15 months.
About 70% of the total investment for the project, or around USD 44 million (EUR 35.7m), will be provided by a South Korean company, while the rest will come from an Iran-based firm, the supervisor of Zarandieh Governorate Mohammad Ghanati told IRNA.
According to a previous report by IRNA from earlier this month, Iran intends to build a 1.5-GW solar park along the Tehran-Qom Highway in the central part of the country. The project is in line with the country’s goal to boost its renewable energy market through installing 5,000 MW of new renewable energy capacity by 2020 and an additional 2,500 MW by 2030.
