Trina Solar's intl biz gets EUR 150m to transition to European IPP
Sep 11, 2024 16:03 CESTMarch 17 (SeeNews) – French transport and power equipment maker Alstom (EPA:ALO) has picked high-tech batteries maker Saft (EPA:SAFT) to ensure power backup onboard the Coradia Nordic X60 suburban trains ordered by the Swedish public transport authority SL.
Under the agreement, Saft will provide its fully integrated MRX nickel-based battery systems to ensure energy backup at the 46 regional trains.
SL has ordered the Coradia Nordic electric multiple unit (EMU) trains in a move to replace part of its ageing fleet and expand its network, Alstom said.
Alstom will start delivery of the trains in 2016.
