Trina Solar's intl biz gets EUR 150m to transition to European IPP
Sep 11, 2024 16:03 CESTMarch 27 (SeeNews) – French high-tech batteries maker Saft (EPA:SAFT) said on Thursday it had won contracts to supply some five million Eternacell branded cells to leading original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) for electricity metering projects in China, India and Taiwan.
The contracts concern supply of Saft’s Eternacell ER 14250 product. The Eternacell brand is developed specifically for utility metering applications in emerging economies, the group said. They have been designed to power real-time microprocessor clock and memory backup functions for new generation of electricity meters.
The batteries are being produced at Saft’s Zhuhai China facility.
