Brazil's Piaui govt clears operations for 300-MW wind park
Sep 12, 2024 9:29 CESTAug 20, 2013 - Santander Brasil, a unit of Spanish bank Santander (MCE:SAN), has reached an agreement to acquire 40% in BW Guirapa I, which is developing seven wind parks for a total 170 MW in Brazil's Bahia state, Santander told Agencia Estado news agency on Tuesday.
Brazil Wind, a wind energy subsidiary of Brazilian power company Brasil Energy, will keep 60% in BW Guirapa I.
Santander's investment in the wind farms, developed in Bahia's municipalities of Pindai and Caetite, is estimated at up to BRL 155 million (USD 64.8m/EUR 48.4m).
