SCA to install biofuel boilers at sawmill in Sweden

(ADPnews) - May 2, 2011 - Swedish hygiene and paper group Svenska Cellulosa AB (STO:SCA B), or SCA, said on Friday it will install two biofuel boilers at its Bollsta sawmill in Sweden.

The company plans to invest about SEK 300m (USD 50m/EUR 34m) in a project that features the two new boilers, increased drying capacity and an upgrade of the saw line.

The investment will enable energy production exclusively from the company’s own biofuel. The biofuel boilers are scheduled for commissioning at the end of 2012, while other parts will be successively commissioned during 2012 and 2013.
