Norwegian renewable power producer Scatec ASA (OSL:SCATC) has started producing electricity from its majority-owned 150-MW solar farm complex in Sukkur, Pakistan, the company said on Wednesday.

The solar plants are expected to generate around 300 GWh of electricity annually, collecting revenues under 25-year USD-indexed power purchase agreements (PPAs) with Central Power Purchasing Agency of Pakistan (CPPA).

Scatec owns a 75% stake in the projects, with local partner Nizam Energy holding the remainder. The Norwegian company will also provide operation and maintenance and asset management services to the solar farms, it said.
