World set to install 593 GW of new solar in 2024 - Ember
Sep 19, 2024 13:28 CEST(ADPnews) - Nov 5, 2010 - German testing and certification agency VDE Association for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies certified the in-house test lab in Alzenau, Germany, of local photovoltaic (PV) equipment maker Schott Solar AG.
Schott Solar now immediately sends test results to VDE, which verifies them and then issues approval for the use of the VDE mark. Thus, "we are now also in a position to accelerate our product development processes significantly," Dr Schier, head of the test centre, said.
The certification process conducted by VDE lasted for nine months, during which time workflows, documentation and test facilities at the centre were enhanced.
