Seaway7, part of the Subsea7 Group, has been contracted by ScottishPower Renewables to transport and install the inter-array cables of the 960-MW East Anglia TWO offshore wind project in the UK.

Seaway7 will be responsible for the engineering, supply and installation of the project’s 64 inter-array cables, with offshore work slated to start in 2027, Subsea 7 SA (OSE:SUBC) said today. The contract is considered substantial by Subsea7, defined as valued between USD 150 million (EUR 138m) and USD 300 million.

“With this project we also look forward to continuing our relationship with ScottishPower Renewables on our second East Anglia Hub project together, with East Anglia THREE currently in execution,” said Seaway7 CEO Stuart Fitzgerald.

This is the latest supply arrangement for the East Anglia TWO project, which was successful in the UK government’s contracts for difference (CfD) auction in September. Yesterday, Danish offshore wind installation company Cadeler A/S announced contracts to transport and install the turbines and foundations for the wind farm, following an announcement that Sif Holding NV and Smulders will supply the monopile foundations and transition pieces.
